And, yes, we unfortunately we overthink and overanalyze everything. We're a fun bunch. lol. Although my doctor told me that it’s normal for a heart to skip a few beats several times during the day. And here’s what‘s weird. I never had palpitations when I was walking or doing light yard work. They mainly came when I was sitting around ... and probably thinking about palpitations. You know writers; they overthink everything, right? Sheesh ... tell me about it! It’s nuts, but you’ve been strong enough to struggle through and that will serve you well in so many ways to come. With me, what really helped was learning to recognize the effect of the stress chemical cortisol on the body. The body normally gives us a cortisol jjolt when we wake up, but when you’re symptomatic, it hits you l like a double shot of espresso. I’m no doctor, but maybe what makes the big anxiety spike after your naps. Can you exercise mildly? For me, it was walking and a hot shower that helped burn all that bad stuff. As for prayer, God made you and loved you so he’s there whether we can pray the office or a rosary, etc Saying the Jesus prayer can be enough when you’re a revved up cortisol machine. And again, your body may be structurally fine. It’s just responding to all that high octane stress fuel in your system. Finally, if you haven’t prayed to Saint Dymphna, please do so. And tell her that Tom Springer sent you — a hardheaded basket base who is forever in her debt. May the Lord bless you and keep you and let his light shine upon you. If possible, maybe try to create a sleep training routine for yourself to get back to normal, and yes, this means a few times a day, you allow yourself to nap at set times, just like a mother would do with her sleepy child. I have a friend who does sleep training if you want some guidance.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05078760707089154714noreply@blogger.com
