I was in a grad class (English Lit) taught by a prof woman who was a radical feminist. I don’t recall how the conversation came up but she went on to say that not only was abortion ok but there was no issue in killing a child as old as two years old because it had not fully formed its consciousness. She said something to the effect that such a child dying might be a sad thing but it wasn’t a “tragedy.” I had been wishy-washy on the issue then. I sensed the immorality of abortion but I kind of went along with the crowd and accepted it as some sort of practical necessity. When that woman said what she said, I almost heaved. I wanted to just get out of that room. Even some of the students started looking around wondering if they heard correctly. If I had been older I would have challenged her immorality, and after making my point walked out of the class. Unfortunately I didn’t have it within me at the time to do that.Mannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15396201693030286919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7738564385955889206.post-56406303642777598022012-01-21T09:22:01.019-08:002012-01-21T09:22:01.019-08:00Praying for you!Praying for you!not a minx, a moron, or a parasitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04799393593685552159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7738564385955889206.post-28427391816101772662012-01-13T22:25:13.011-08:002012-01-13T22:25:13.011-08:00I thought I was like the only strongly opinionated...I thought I was like the only strongly opinionated young Catholic. :P My middle name is Cecilia and my patron saint is Catherine of Siena.
